Welcome to Signphone; our video interpreting service for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. Signphone is a quick and easy way to connect to anyone, anywhere. Signphone interpreters are all highly skilled and experienced, and you can rest assured all of your account and call information will always remain confidential and secure.

So, what do I need to connect to Signphone?

  • PC, Apple Mac, iPad/iPhone, Android Phone or Tablet with a webcam
  • A strong internet connection via WIFI or Data (please note you may incur data charges from your provider). Recommended broadband speed of 1MB/ps.
  • Access to a Skype account. You must be logged in to Skype when using your Signphone account. Go to the 'Register' page for instructions.
  • Register for a Signphone account; click the 'Register' to create your account and for further instructions. Within moments you will have Signphone at home or at work.

The amazing thing about Signphone is… No minimum booking fee; no registration fee; no monthly payments; no cancellation fee! You control how long you need! Pay-As-You-Sign with Signphone!

At the moment, you can connect to Signphone Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. But very soon we hope to offer extended opening hours. We will let you know!

No internet connection? No problem! Visit one of our Signphone booths at the East Lancashire Deaf Society offices and the team will be happy to assist you with your call.
